Samsung has officially taken the wraps off of their new Galaxy Tab A 10.5. The Tab A line is Samsung’s budget-friendly line, aimed at casual use. It carries a 10.5 inch TFT display with a resolution of 1920×1200. Surrounding the display are slim bezels. Above the display, you will find a 5MP camera for Skype chats or selfies. The most notable aspect of the front of the device is what is missing. With no physical home button, there is no fingerprint sensor, but there is also no iris scanner like on the premium Tab S4, so you will have to make do with more traditional PINs and passwords.
Powering the tablet is the Snapdragon 450, an octa-core processor which can be clocked up to 1.8GHz. This is paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Via microSD card expansion, you can add up to 400GB of extra space for storing your movie collection, music, or apps. Inside is a 7300mAh battery which can be charged via the USB Type-C port. Flipping over the device, you will find the main 8MP camera with flash.
